Don't you ever wonder .The two are not just rhyming words but in practical life, they virtually depend on each other. Look at the following example. You might get a better picture;

Meeta Sahni was planning on two things. First - Take up a new job. Second-Shift base. A computer graduate she had already found a solution to both her problems. She was taking up a new job in Delhi. Actually, marriage was in the cards. Meeta and her Fiancé had decided to settle in Delhi after tying knot. But situations changed. One week prior to her shift, Meeta got a terrible pain at the back of her head. She was diagnosed with tumor and was immediately operated. Complications arose in midst of the operation after which Meeta was advised a month long rest and high dose medication.

Within a week the hospital she was being treated in, demanded payment for their services. It was then that she realised that since she was switching jobs, the health cover provided by her previous company would no longer be valid. And she would have to pay the heavy bill out of her own pocket.

Terrible time! Terrible situation! But Meeta is not the only one who faced it. There are so many people all over who place Health Insurance as the last thing in their list. They very casually depend upon the insurance cover the company they are working for provides without pondering upon questions like the time period, the kind of illnesses that the policy would cover, the consequences of the policy if they quit their job. Here's an eye opener;

A standalone Policy is of utmost importance irrespective of the fact whether you are receiving a health cover by your company or not. Calamity strikes minus warning. With a low premium ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 200, you can get a good enough Health Insurance cover. The following policies are available in the market;

  • Health Insurance Policy
  • Personal Illness Policy
  • Accident Policy
  • Critical Illness Policy
  • Surgical Assistance Policy
  • Hospital care Policy

    With so many policies available, it is definitely a bit confusing as to which policy one should settle for. A good deal of research, some bit of reading and a thorough revaluation of one's age, occupation and health status would be mandatory in deciding the right health policy. A cashless policy would definitely be very beneficial. It provides a card that informs about the hospitals where one could receive treatment without paying for it. The insurance company would settle the bills later. This kind of Policy is more helpful compared to policies for which one needs to pay for the moment and settle the claims later.
